Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at GTA-IB Management LLC. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for performing general repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform General Repairs and Maintenance: Under the direction of the Property Operations Supervisor and Director of Property Operations, you will perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the hotel.
  • Respond to Guest Room Calls: You will respond to guest room calls as required to ensure prompt and efficient service.
  • Assist Other Departmental Craft Workers: You may be required to assist other departmental craft workers as needed.
  • Perform Fire Alarm Response Team Duties: You will perform all duties required as a member of the Fire Alarm Response Team.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school or equivalent education required. Minimum of three years hands-on experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing, and A/C repairs.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and repair/maintenance tasks for extended periods possibly up to 8 hours.

  • Stressful Environment: Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers, and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
