Job Summary and Qualifications


Respiratory Therapy is fundamentally the evaluation and treatment of patients experiencing both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system.

Today's Respiratory Care Specialists have demanding responsibilities related to patient care and are essential members of the healthcare team.

A comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of the cardiopulmonary system and the intricate procedures necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients across all age groups is required.

What you will do in this role:
Under the general supervision of the RT Supervisor or Team Leader, you will execute diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by a physician.
Your responsibilities will encompass medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, collecting and analyzing blood samples, conducting patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, sustaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, delivering patient education, and monitoring equipment and patient responses to therapy.

Your additional duties will include completing documentation of inpatient and departmental records, cleaning equipment, and upholding safety and infection control standards.


What qualifications you will need:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
Must possess a current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care

NBRC CRT
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
One year of recent clinical experience preferred.
