We are seeking a skilled Turbine Outside Machinist to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. as an Installation Specialist. This is a first shift opportunity with a competitive pay rate and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:- Install hull inserts and operate lapping & blue checking tools
- Operate lathe and perform valve overhaul, steam, & vog AC refrigeration repair
- Install lift check valve and steam plant cleaning
- Install main engine propulsion plant machinery & equipment and anchor windlass, mast, & antenna
- Lube oil flushing and installation of ballast tanks, refueler, drilling/taping, etc.
- Test boiler operations and installation of valve & pump packing
- Installation of deck ordinance and shafting & bearing work
- 20+ Years of Turbine Generator Experience
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry
- Familiarity with Fasteners
- Ability to comprehend complex drawings, blueprints, diagrams, & sketches
