Key responsibilities include dismantling, repairing, or replacing defective parts, and reassembling machinery using machinist's tools, chain hoists, and steel rollers. Additionally, you'll install ship machinery, such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and utilizing hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.
