Injection Molding Specialist

Albea, a leading manufacturer of packaging and beauty solutions, seeks an experienced Injection Molding Specialist to join our team in Shelbyville. As a key member of our Injection Molding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the development and production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Injection Molding team in developing and implementing efficient processes to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Collaborate with sales and other team members to quote injection tooling and parts, introduce new molds, and implement process improvements.
- Provide engineering input and feedback on new tooling and part designs, testing, and operational parameters.
- Develop scientific-based processes to ensure optimal run consistency and efficiency.
- Contribute to managing new order scheduling, work order documentation, and operational activities.
- Drive molding process improvements to include qualification, cycle time efficiency, and scrap reduction.
- Assist in the set-up, operation, trouble-shooting, and repair of shop equipment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 3+ years' experience in injection molding of high-performance polymers; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with RJG experience a plus.
- Direct knowledge and application of scientific molding principles with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment while offering motivation and technical support to other team members.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
