About the Role

The YMCA of Greenville is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Build and maintain order and enthusiasm in a group.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for program times utilizing risk management, state childcare COVID guidelines, social and emotional learning, and academic enrichment activities.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities and use them in an appropriate manner.
  • Report all program changes to the Site Coordinator, Youth Program Director, or Executive Director.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or a senior in high school.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of experience or years working with youth.
  • Minimum of 6 months previous leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 credits/units in Child Development/Elementary Education or 60 hours of approved Childcare-related training.
