About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Packaging Temp to join our team at Wella Company. As a key member of our OPI R&D Packaging team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our packaging initiatives and ensuring the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the OPI R&D Packaging team on various initiatives, including lab testing, data collection, and data entry.
  • Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the lab and storage areas.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to collect data and documents as requested.
  • Perform data entry work for Wella's specifications in our SAP-based system.
  • Provide additional support to the team as needed to ensure the packaging needs of OPI and Wella Company are met.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in package engineering or a related field, preferably with a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to increase mastery with experience and training.
  • Detail-oriented and good data organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment setup and process improvement, with experience in Instron being a plus.
  • Technically precise and eager to learn new technical details.
  • Ability to work with structured data specifications.
  • Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
Work Environment
  • The lab is located in Calabasas, CA, and the job is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 5 days a week.
  • Daily work will be performed in both an office and lab setting, subject to long periods of sitting and standing.
  • Able to follow company policies and procedures related to company practices and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to operate various standard office equipment and/or laboratory equipment as instructed.
  • Individual will be exposed to working in or around a lab environment with various equipment, machinery, and chemicals. Safety precautions must be adhered to and followed at all times.
