R&D Packaging Laboratory Technician Job Description

Adecco Medical is seeking a skilled R&D Packaging Laboratory Technician to join our team in Calabasas, CA. As a key member of our OPI R&D Packaging team, you will provide critical support to assist on initiatives and projects as instructed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute lab testing, data collection, data entry, and issue test report summaries to maintain and improve our packaging lab capabilities.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lab and storage areas.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners to collect data/documents as requested.
  • Maintain documents used to store data, Team Shared Drive access, etc.
  • Perform data entry work for client specifications in our SAP-based system.
  • Provide additional task-related support needed by the team to support packaging needs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a package engineering degree or other Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree with lab testing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to increase mastery with experience/training.
  • Detail-oriented and good data organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment setup and process improvement, with Instron experience a plus.
  • Technically precise and eager to learn new technical details.
  • Ability to work with structured data specifications.
  • Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
Work Environment:
  • The lab is located in Calabasas, CA, and the job is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, 5 days a week.
  • Daily work performed in both an office and lab setting, subject to long periods of sitting/standing.
  • Able to follow company policies and procedures related to company practices and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to operate various standard office equipment and/or laboratory equipment as instructed.
  • Individual will be exposed to working in or around a lab environment with various equipment, machinery, and chemicals. Safety precautions must be adhered to and followed at all times.
