Role Summary and Qualifications

The Electrophysiology Technologist plays a vital role in assisting cardiologists within the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catheterization Labs. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting invasive procedures while ensuring patient safety.
  • Participating in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties.
  • Staying informed about new procedures, equipment, and protocols.
  • Maintaining inventory levels of necessary supplies.
  • Operating equipment safely and adhering to ALARA standards during procedures.
  • Fostering positive relationships with colleagues, medical staff, and patients.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) credentials.
  • A diploma from a vocational school.
