The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a vital role in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs, assisting cardiologists in the performance of invasive procedures and ensuring a safe environment for patients. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist cardiologists in the performance of invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies
- Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
- Participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties during procedures
- Keep up-to-date on new procedures, equipment, and exam protocols
- Assist with maintaining supply inventory at acceptable levels
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification
- Vocational School Graduate
