Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage retail and catering cooks, maintaining staff schedules and covering shifts as needed.
  • Responsible for yearly evaluations and goal setting for cooks, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Implement and standardize culinary systems and procedures for the unit, aligning with system-wide initiatives.
  • Manage all aspects of retail and catering menus, ensuring high-quality offerings.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of all areas, maintaining a high level of food safety and quality.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Food Management System, ensuring accurate inventory and ordering.
  • Oversee Food and Physical Safety, including HACCP record keeping and Gold Check standards.
  • Develop and lead culinary team members, providing training and education on new techniques and menu items.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Energetic and polished culinary professional with high-end catering and dining experience.
  • Strong production culinary background, ideally in an upscale restaurant/retail/catering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and engaging a culinary team, with exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skills.
  • Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-standard driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory, and labor management concepts.
  • Ability to successfully lead, develop, and train a team.
  • Proficient computer skills and exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
  • Servsafe certified and working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.
  • C.E.C. preferred.
