Job Summary:

Therapy 2000, a leading provider of pediatric healthcare services, is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our home-based therapy team, you will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to children in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with patients' caregivers and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement home exercise programs to promote patients' independence and functional abilities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress summaries and chart updates.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patients' progress and share best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure to practice occupational therapy in the state of Texas.
  • Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably in a home health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with complex medical needs or developmental delays.
  • Knowledge of feeding therapy or other clinical specialties, such as high-risk infant care.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
