Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled FPGA Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade area, MD. As a key member of our team, you will design, implement, and deploy digital signal processing algorithms in software and hardware, specifically Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement DSP algorithms in software and hardware, focusing on high-throughput signal exploitation with low signal-to-noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations.
  • Conduct modifications to existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to meet special government needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, independently designing and implementing software models in MATLAB or other similar design suites to process signals of interest.
  • Provide analysis of module/model output from signals of interest to enable creation of follow-on processes.
  • Develop novel approaches for utilizing COTS and GOTS systems to create processing solutions outside their intended use.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS and 10+ years of experience as a DSP Algorithm developer or 15+ years of experience as a DSP Algorithm developer without a BS degree
