Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Key ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are essential to the role, and additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:
- Monitor machinery for unusual sounds to identify malfunctions and collaborate with operators and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Safely shut down equipment and implement lockout procedures before commencing repairs. Replace or install new components and verify operational efficiency.
- Perform cleaning and lubrication of machinery parts in accordance with established protocols.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring and electronic components on various machines.
- Design, assemble, and maintain piping systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including the repair of gauges and valves.
- Ensure the upkeep of the facility's physical condition, which may involve fabricating or repairing structures as needed.
- Set up and maintain automated machinery, including programmable controllers and refrigeration systems, as well as other equipment as required.
- Utilize machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate or repair parts.
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components.
To be successful in this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ammonia Refrigeration, Boiler First Class or higher, Industrial Electric, PLC Programming.
- High school diploma or GED, along with one to three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety guidelines, and maintenance manuals. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying information to team members.
- Competence in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and address problems in standardized situations.
This role requires the following physical capabilities:
- Regularly walking, standing, and using hands to manipulate tools and controls. Ability to reach overhead, climb, and perform various physical tasks.
- Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 55 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
- Vision capabilities must include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
Employees will encounter the following conditions:
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and working at heights, along with varying weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and cleaning agents. Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines is mandatory.
- Noise levels may vary, and hearing protection may be necessary in certain situations.
Compensation: $27.95 per hour*
