About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team at Cox Communications. As a key member of our Application Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the security of in-house and third-party software and devices across the business.
  • Manage the assessment pipeline and development team expectations.
  • Review assessment reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement new methods to prevent security vulnerabilities and track remediation.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Manage configuration and make decisions on the use of security tools and technologies.
  • Provide regular metrics on assessments completed and vulnerabilities found.
  • Develop and maintain security testing standards.
  • Conduct research and develop new security tools and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working in application security and testing or development across multiple domains of information security.
  • Direct experience in application security or testing of applications or devices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing Jenkins for builds and deployment.
  • Experience with security testing tools such as Veracode, Fortify, Burp Suite, and Qualys.
  • Familiarity with public key infrastructure deployments and associated services.
  • 2+ years of experience developing in Java 7, Java 8, and/or PowerShell.
  • Experience with enterprise single sign-on and familiarity with OAuth, SAML, or WS-Federation protocols.
  • Experience with cloud-based or software as a service security solutions.
  • Big four consulting background or Fortune 500 company experience.
  • Telecom/cable industry experience.
  • At least one relevant industry certification – CISSP, CISM, CISA.
