Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary
Synoptek is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring customer fulfillment of SOW deliverables and owning the establishment and fulfillment of the IT security landscape for client-facing engagements assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a subject matter expert for implementing and maintaining multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions in clients' Microsoft 365 environments
- Responsible for understanding the capabilities of application security scanning tools and methodologies
- Function as a subject matter expert for installing and troubleshooting, and configuring, Windows, Linux, and Unix systems
- Design and implement security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists
- Conduct security assessments, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
- Working knowledge of Multifactor Authentication processes and systems especially in Microsoft 365 environment
- General understanding and application security scanning tools and methodologies
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix
