Job Title: Echo Technician PRN

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician to join our team at Medical City Arlington. As an Echo Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.

Job Summary:

The Echo Technician will be responsible for performing echocardiography diagnostic procedures, including two-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler (Pulsed-wave, Continuous-wave, and Color flow) echocardiography. You will need to visualize all cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels, with appropriate structural and blood flow measurements. You will also be familiar with other types of diagnostic tests, such as clinical laboratory tests, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac catheterization, and be able to integrate echocardiography results with the results of such other tests for clinical correlation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiography diagnostic procedures, including two-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler (Pulsed-wave, Continuous-wave, and Color flow) echocardiography.
  • Visualize all cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels, with appropriate structural and blood flow measurements.
  • Familiarize yourself with other types of diagnostic tests, such as clinical laboratory tests, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac catheterization.
  • Integrate echocardiography results with the results of other tests for clinical correlation.
  • Accurately document abnormal echocardiography and Doppler velocities that are indicative of cardiovascular pathophysiology.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment and perform basic troubleshooting of problems.
  • Assist in new staff member orientation.
Requirements:
  • Echocardiographer Technician, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or Vocational School Graduate, or Certificate
