About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Inova Lorton Station Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of safety and quality in our nuclear medicine department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies/procedures.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Provide clinical services according to Nuclear Medicine practice standards while acting as a resource to Nuclear Medicine students and other technologists.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's school/program of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT-N or CNMT obtained within one year of hire date.
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within one year of hire date.
  • Registered State Inspector - Virginia within 3 months.
  • Experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Student.
  • Basic Life Support upon start.
