4 West is a 35-bed Medical Surgical unit dedicated to providing personalized care to a diverse adult patient population. Our nursing team is skilled in managing a wide range of chronic and acute medical conditions, with specialized training focused on renal patient care.
Collaboration:
Our nurses work closely with interdisciplinary teams and various specialists, including:
- Palliative Care
- Cardiology
- Neurology
- Urology
- Oncology
- Orthopedics
4 West fosters a team-oriented atmosphere, ensuring that our patients receive superior quality care and outstanding service.
Professional Development:
This unit is ideal for nurses aiming to enhance their clinical expertise, time management, and critical thinking skills. Our nurses advocate for patients and their families, promoting health maintenance and restoration.
Additionally, our nursing staff serves as mentors and role models, engaging in continuous professional development to advance the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, implement, delegate, plan, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care.
- Collaborate effectively with other shifts and departments to ensure optimal continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid Texas RN License or Eligible Compact License
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
- Med-surg certification preferred and encouraged
