Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the divisional strategy for Safety and Sustainability, ensuring effective execution plans are in place.
  • Lead a team of EHS and Occupational Health professionals, providing guidance and support to facilities globally with both technical expertise and cultural insights.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior management and facility leaders, driving achievement of EHS objectives at both divisional and enterprise levels.
  • Oversee a team of Occupational Health nurses, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical services while fostering team engagement and effectiveness.
  • Create innovative EHS solutions aimed at achieving Zero Injury, leveraging data analytics, metrics, and cultural insights.
  • Identify and assess safety, health, and environmental risks associated with operations, establishing protective guidelines.
  • Lead the development and oversight of divisional sustainability initiatives and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on EHS metrics at the divisional level, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Manage compliance risks through assessments and guidance from Compliance Counsels.
  • Facilitate EHS governance, communication, and professional development initiatives for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the shipping of hazardous materials.
  • Mentor and coach facility EHS teams across the division, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships to understand the needs of internal customers across manufacturing, logistics, and office environments.
  • Share exemplary practices related to EHS Assurance Manual Requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in EHS, including the development and delivery of engaging training programs.
  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory and governmental agencies, cultivating professional relationships.
  • Represent the division in corporate projects and engage with national and international EHS organizations.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience in a foundry environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging all organizational levels, including executives.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing EHS strategies, with a focus on cultural improvement and capability enhancement.
  • Ability to inspire and engage teams through effective collaboration and communication.
  • Experience in EHS within manufacturing and/or logistics sectors.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change regarding safety within large organizations.
  • Proficient in evaluating and resolving complex EHS-related challenges.
  • Comprehensive understanding of intricate EHS concepts and regulations.
  • Experience in delivering Lean processes and solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
