Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Moline. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and preserving public safety in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preliminary and follow-up investigations to identify and apprehend suspects
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and respond to crimes, and enforce laws and ordinances
  • Communicate effectively with the public, other law enforcement agencies, and the media
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to address community concerns and issues
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license and be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
