Position Overview

The role of Assembler II involves the fabrication of component parts or the assembly of finished products in alignment with customer specifications. This position requires the securing and management of the necessary component parts and supplies for operations, including but not limited to plates, nails, staples, and fasteners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Set up the work area effectively.
  2. Assemble parts according to established methods and quality standards.
  3. Operate machinery and hand tools as necessary to complete the assembly tasks.
  4. Organize and stack finished products in accordance with established protocols, which may include covering, labeling, and banding items.
  5. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is safe for operation.
  6. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
  7. Keep the workspace orderly and clean.
  8. Perform basic Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on equipment and complete related paperwork as needed.
  9. Document production records as required.
  10. Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  11. Adhere to established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  12. Engage in safety, continuous improvement, and other relevant programs and meetings.
  13. Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year or more is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
