Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Repair Technician CMC to join our team at University Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining clinical equipment to the manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain clinical equipment, including patient beds and stretchers, to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform scheduled and nonscheduled PM checks as needed.
  • Document work orders and PM checks.
  • Order parts and materials as needed.
  • Assist clinical staff with equipment In Service or technical documents when required.
  • Communicate in a clear and timely fashion to staff on the status of repairs.

Requirements:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

Training and Compliance:

Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
