Anatomy and Cell Biology Faculty Position

Join Our Team of Dedicated Educators
The Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a highly qualified and passionate faculty member to join our Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of osteopathic physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and mentor students in the first- and second-year systems and laboratory courses.
- Develop and implement curricular content in anatomy and cell biology.
- Contribute to the development of board-style exam questions.
- Participate in student advising and mentoring.
- Engage in scholarly activities and research.
- Provide service to the institution, community, and profession.
Requirements:
- Earned terminal degree (PhD, DO, MD, DSc, etc.) by start date.
- Experience teaching anatomical science at the undergraduate or graduate/professional level.
- Record of or demonstrated potential for growth in scholarly activity or research.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and engaging with students in a collaborative educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral experience.
- Experience or interest in developing and using active teaching methods.
- Willingness to learn and teach content in more than one anatomical sciences.
- Familiarity in teaching with various medical imaging modalities.
The position is fully funded and reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. The start date is negotiable. Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine offers a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with appointed faculty rank, qualifications, and experience.
