Janitor/Porter Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor/Porter to join our team at Related Management Company (RMC).

As a Janitor/Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our properties. Your responsibilities will include performing upkeep and janitorial duties to ensure our properties are always clean, safe, and beautiful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily janitorial tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Maintain the appearance of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and stairwells.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and report any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
