Job Summary

Kilgore College is seeking a part-time faculty member to teach Culinary Arts courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the culinary industry and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more Culinary Arts courses, developing appropriate course syllabi and working with students as needed.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the culinary industry.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an associate's degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in the culinary industry.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated commitment to the community college philosophy of education.
Benefits
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based on level of education and ranges from $1,700 per 3-hour course for an Associate's Degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
  • Worker's compensation and limited part-time retirement plan.
