Position Overview:

This role is integral to the teaching staff within the Culinary Arts and Hospitality department and
reports directly to the Department Chair. We are seeking Culinary Arts and Hospitality instructors who are capable of delivering courses both online and on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a part-time faculty role. Responsibilities include instructing one or more Culinary Arts courses, crafting relevant course syllabi, and providing support to students as necessary. Courses may be conducted online, in-person, or in a hybrid format, and may take place during daytime or evening hours. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for overseeing all learning activities and assessing student performance in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an associate's degree, ideally in Culinary Arts or Hospitality, along with at least 5 years of industry experience (Candidates with a bachelor's or higher degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality are exempt from the five years' experience requirement.)
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, is essential.
  • Applicants must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to the community college educational philosophy.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Compensation for adjunct faculty is determined by educational qualifications, ranging from $1,700 per 3-hour course for an Associate's Degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a Doctorate.
