Clinical Nurse Educator

The Clinical Nurse Educator - Perioperative Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality training and educational opportunities for nursing staff in the perioperative services department. This includes developing and delivering training content, ensuring competency of new hires, and supporting the unit preceptor program. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the specialty areas within the perioperative space and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver training content for nursing staff in the perioperative services department
Ensure competency of new hires through training and evaluation
Support the unit preceptor program by reviewing evaluations and providing coaching as necessary
Mentor and coach preceptors to ensure effective unit orientation
Develop and maintain unit-based orientation manuals
Provide educational programs for nursing staff that align with evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements
Solicit information and data regarding nursing education needs through multiple means
Participate in the Nursing Education Committee and Nurse Practice Committee
Work with nursing leaders and other leaders to implement new equipment, products, and processes
Provide contact hours and continuing education credits as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
MSN required within 2 years of hire
Current BCLS certification required upon hire, ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire
Registered Nurse with minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience
Current License to practice in the state of New Hampshire
Experience with adult education, preferably in the healthcare field
Ability to make effective presentations and facilitate learning
Experience in learning design, program development, delivery, and evaluation
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with all levels of personnel
Demonstrated skills in nursing expertise, team leadership, leading educational initiatives, and project management
Strong organization skills, self-starting initiative, and high belief in the change process
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and using Audio/Visual equipment
Work Status
Mon-Fri
