Job Description
The Micro Electro-Mechanical Technician will perform all assembly operations on standard, new, and special designs, as well as functional testing and final testing. The position involves fabricating and assembling miniature electro-mechanical assemblies and devices using manual dexterity skills. Candidates will work on the first shift from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, assembling transducers and electronic components for the air and defense industry. The role requires soldering small parts under a microscope and standing 80% of the day.
Key Responsibilities:- Small parts assembly and soldering under a microscope
- Experience assembling or working with electronics
- Ability to work off of schematics
- Ability to use a computer
- Soldering, resistance welding, mechanical fastening, and adhesive bonding and wiring
- Fabricate and assemble miniature electro-mechanical assemblies
- Conduct and troubleshoot various calibrations
- Surface cleaning, identification, labeling, inspection, and packaging of components
- Limited functional testing and troubleshooting of sensors
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and with others
