Job Title: Structural Analysis Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team at Butler America Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our Propeller Systems Engineering group, you will be responsible for performing finite element analysis and damage tolerance analyses on various propeller products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform finite element analysis and damage tolerance analyses on propeller products
  • Assess static and fatigue requirements for propeller components
  • Lead analysis activities for the establishment of a propeller system major inspection interval
  • Develop and document analysis conclusions to establish relevant design requirements
  • Support propeller system in-service investigations
  • Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations
  • 10 years of structural analysis experience with MSC Software (Nastran/Patran), NX Nastran or equivalent FEA software package
  • 5 years of design and analysis experience of aerospace structural components
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics or similar CAD software
  • Experience with stress-life fatigue analysis
  • Experience with analysis of bolted joints
  • Experience with Damage Tolerance Analysis (NASGRO)
