Job Summary
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of individualized sub-assemblies, including large cabinet type structures, power supplies, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards, cabling, and assorted materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Depopulation of sub-assemblies and coordination with team members for proper storage, transportation, and auditing of inventory.
- Integration of decommissioned items from ships into the storage facility.
- Travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane to provide support and document the disassembly process.
- Assistance with Bill of Materials Development and procedural development.
- Utilization of SWMS to track inventory and produce reports for customer updates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience working in electronics; OR Associate's Degree and electronics training.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; not required to start.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Familiarity with Military packaging, handling, and marking of assets for shipment and storage.
- Technical capabilities to disassemble PCBs, power supplies, and other electronic equipment from cabinets and ship equipment.
- Familiarity with the handling of PCBs and adherence to Electronic Discharge processes and procedures.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Valid driver's license.
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience.
- Naval ship technician-related experience.
