Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of individualized sub-assemblies, including large cabinet type structures, power supplies, Printed Circuit Board (PCB) cards, cabling, and assorted materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Depopulation of sub-assemblies and coordination with team members for proper storage, transportation, and auditing of inventory.
  • Integration of decommissioned items from ships into the storage facility.
  • Travel between SAIC Eastgate and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane to provide support and document the disassembly process.
  • Assistance with Bill of Materials Development and procedural development.
  • Utilization of SWMS to track inventory and produce reports for customer updates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 5 or more years of experience working in electronics; OR Associate's Degree and electronics training.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; not required to start.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Familiarity with Military packaging, handling, and marking of assets for shipment and storage.
  • Technical capabilities to disassemble PCBs, power supplies, and other electronic equipment from cabinets and ship equipment.
  • Familiarity with the handling of PCBs and adherence to Electronic Discharge processes and procedures.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desired Qualifications

  • Forklift experience.
  • Naval ship technician-related experience.
