Job Title: ICU Nursing Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICU Nursing Manager to lead our Intensive Care Units (ICUs) at The George Washington University Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership to our ICU nursing teams, ensuring the delivery of excellent care for critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to the ICU nursing teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet the fluctuating demands of ICU patient care.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based care protocols.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development, and staff engagement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and allied health professionals to coordinate and enhance patient care across all ICU units.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model to ICU nursing staff, promoting continuous education and professional growth.
  • Oversee unit-based budgets and resource management, ensuring efficient use of hospital resources.
  • Lead efforts in patient and staff satisfaction, focusing on safety and excellent patient care experiences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in critical care, with 2+ years in a leadership or management role in an ICU setting.
  • Experience with ICU operations, quality metrics, and staffing management.
