Job Summary:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Rural Anchorage Service Unit (RASU) is seeking a highly skilled Emergent Care Training Coordinator to partner with Tribal Health Organizations on EMS and Life Support training needs and services. This role involves conducting EMS needs assessments, coordinating training, maintaining certification, and evaluating competencies throughout the RASU. The goal is to maximize training opportunities to support the highest level of care for customer-owners throughout the RASU communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct EMS needs assessments to identify training requirements
Coordinate training programs for EMS personnel
Maintain certification and competencies for EMS personnel
Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

Current EMT Instructor Certification
Current Instructor Certification in BLS/CPR
Strong understanding of the cultures and needs of the Alaska Native population
Ability to network within the RASU and throughout the State

Native Preference:

SCF pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training, as required by P.L. 93-638, as amended.

Compliance with SCF's Employee Health Procedure is a condition of employment. This includes agreeing to comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to the first day of employment. Health Care Personnel (HCP) positions require documentation of completed immunizations, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination.
