Job Summary

Raba Kistner Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Technician II to join our team in the Austin, TX area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure priorities and deadlines are met in both the field and laboratory.
  • Meet with project leads and stakeholders to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
  • Ensure safe utilization, storage, and maintenance of all nuclear gauges and field equipment.
  • Communicate project progress and delays to supervisors and dispatchers.
  • Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports on a daily basis.
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED certification or at least one year of applicable experience in the materials testing and inspection industry and possession of one or more certifications, such as ACI Field, ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Aggregates, TxDOT SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, SB202, 1A, or 1B, or other relevant certifications.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license within the applicable jurisdiction and meeting firm's auto insurability requirements. Ability to travel to project sites and maneuver over rough and uneven terrain.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and solvents, noise, dust, fumes, grease, and oils, radiant and electrical energy, and vibration. Regular use of non-complex machines and equipment and hand tools such as sledgehammers, shovels, and picks. Work assignments are frequently performed outside in all weather conditions.

This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs.
