Job Overview

Edison Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Authorization Clerk to join its growing team in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full-time position that requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure timely and accurate Authorization processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and process Authorization emails and faxes
  • Run temporary Authorization reports and follow up with contracts on outstanding Authorizations
  • Enter and update increase/decrease Authorizations
  • Request outstanding Authorizations and confirm units and codes
  • Update hospitalized/hold/discharged patients
  • Follow up with contracts regarding Authorization-related issues
  • Run temporary Authorization reports and follow up with contracts on outstanding Authorizations
  • Follow up for discharge Authorizations
  • Duties are subject to change according to agency needs
Requirements
  • HHA Exchange Knowledge - Required
  • Medicaid Eligibility Knowledge in Home Health Care - Required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently in a high-pace work environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
