Job Title: Direct Support Specialist
About the Role: Network Human Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to residents, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Document resident progress and any concerns in electronic health records
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medication certification a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for auto insurance
- Competent in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records preferred
