Overseas Aerostat System Operator

Position Overview:

Talos Mission Solutions is seeking skilled professionals to fill multiple roles supporting an Army Aerostat initiative in overseas locations. We are particularly interested in candidates with a robust technical background and prior deployment experience in OCONUS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on operation of the aerostat system, which includes tasks such as launch, in-flight management, recovery, and mooring activities.
  • Operate and maintain the aerostat, an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, along with its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), sensor payloads, and associated communication and navigation systems.
  • Utilize support equipment, including Boom Lifts, Forklifts, All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), and Electrical Power Generators.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, complemented by formal technical training from military or civilian institutions.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Operator Level 1 Requirements:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Electronic Maintenance experience, particularly in radar, ISR, electronic warfare, communication systems, and avionics repair.
  • ISR operational experience with a focus on airborne or ground data collection and dissemination.
  • Information Technology expertise, particularly in Network Installation, with preferred certifications such as CCIE or CISCO Network Administrator.
  • Mechanical Maintenance experience, especially in the repair and troubleshooting of diesel generators, vehicles, automotive engines, hydraulics, and aircraft systems.

Deployment Considerations:

Candidates must be prepared to work and reside on U.S. Military Bases and in remote locations with limited accommodations. These overseas positions may be situated near areas of potential conflict. Additionally, candidates must fulfill all physical, medical, and other deployment requirements as outlined by current DOD regulations.

Important Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • A valid U.S. passport is required.
  • A current U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance is essential.
  • Candidates must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
