Your Responsibilities:

As a Fire Protection Systems Technician, you will:

  • Respond to service requests from the Service Resource Center, gathering details about equipment/system issues.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and resolve equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Conduct service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings, including but not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge systems, and fire pumps.

How You Will Achieve This:

  • Adhere to established troubleshooting protocols and utilize technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins for accurate diagnosis and repair.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating strong organizational abilities and a positive demeanor.
  • Work independently while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications We Seek:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry, specializing in service and repair of sprinkler and suppression systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Participation in an on-call program is required.
  • Maintain truck inventory for prompt customer service.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols consistently.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Comprehend and implement all safety requirements set by the company and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One of the following certifications is highly desirable:
  • NICET III Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems
  • NFPA Water-Based Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance
  • ASSE 15010 Water-Based Protection Systems
  • Completion of a DOL-approved Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program

Additional Skills:

  • Backflow certification is an advantage.
