Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team at Youth Homes. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth in need of care. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our staff teams to create a healthy and home-like milieu within our homes, while also building positive relationships with the youth in our care. This is a part-time position that requires a high level of energy, patience, and understanding. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and structured living environment for youth
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor
  • Teach important life skills and provide guidance
  • Participate in recreational activities with youth
  • Perform routine household duties
  • Collaborate with staff teams to ensure a cooperative and supportive work environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience working with youth in a paid or volunteer setting
  • Ability to work collaboratively and personably with staff
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs as needed
  • Ability to climb stairs as needed
