- Ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Design and implement adapted physical education lessons aimed at enhancing physical fitness and motor skills.
- Tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, considering their age and skill levels.
- Encourage a positive attitude towards physical education through constructive feedback.
- Create and sustain a safe and organized learning environment.
- Manage physical education resources and equipment requests.
- A valid California Physical Education credential with Adapted Education authorization or enrollment in a qualifying program with CBEST passage.
- Possess appropriate automobile insurance for work-related travel.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Current TB Test (within the last 6 months).
- Varied settings including classrooms and community environments.
- Moderate to high noise levels and physical demands may vary.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs and behaviors.
