We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for administering therapy modalities as ordered by physicians, performing mechanical ventilator operations, and responding to code blue situations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physicians
- Perform mechanical ventilator operations, including initiation, operation, and monitoring
- Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas
- Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients
- Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment
- Provide accurate reports to oncoming staff at shift end
- Enter patient contacts into appropriate systems
- Perform equipment rounds
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Respiratory Therapy Degree - AAS or BS
- Basic Life Support Certification and ALCS
- One-year adult critical care experience
- Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry
