Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the Indiana University Bloomington Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct molecular biology research, including nucleic acid extraction and manipulation
  • Organize and maintain lab space, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
  • Provide support for genomics and bioinformatics research projects, including data analysis and interpretation
  • Collaborate with faculty, scientists, and administrative staff to achieve research goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Biology and/or Chemistry
  • At least three years of experience in molecular biology research
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
About the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics

The Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics is a service facility that provides IU faculty with access to genome technologies and bioinformatic support. We offer consulting and training to support the development of genome-enabled research programs and grant proposals, and we develop new genome technologies and bioinformatics tools.
