About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mission Critical Site Superintendent to join our team at Henderson Engineers. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating the final schedule with subcontractors and suppliers, and internal scheduling staff.
  • Provide input on the schedule of values and update project completion percentages for billing purposes.
  • Polish all site logistics for maximum efficiency and ensure client operations are never interrupted.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Director to maintain strict compliance with the organization's safety plan.
  • Direct the overall site management of assigned construction projects.
  • Plan and set project schedule objectives, goals, and deadlines.
  • Review and select appropriate construction methods and strategies.
  • Report on status and progress of project and budget matters to supervisor.
  • Facilitate the execution of the project field installation phase.
  • Produce and maintain all required project documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate work for project staff.
  • Ensure labor continuity in case of labor disruption or threat of disruption.
  • Provide ample communication to client to ensure project schedule is maintained in case of disruption.
  • Collaborate with client to accommodate union and/or non-union labor dispute.
  • Implement and maintain the organization's quality control plan for the project.
  • Communicate any or all quality concerns to the Construction Manager and collaborate to develop action plans.

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in field construction supervision as a superintendent or foreman, and/or similar field construction roles.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required.
  • CPR/First-Aid certification required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred, including development and oversight of field crews.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal, multi-state and local construction safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction industry practices, quality control processes and standards.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy, persuasion, assertiveness, and managerial courage.
