Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Field Technician to join our team at Western States. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic tests to identify equipment issues and develop effective repair plans.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, adhering to Caterpillar standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their equipment needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Caterpillar machine systems and technologies to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on Caterpillar machines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid CDL with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
