Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Elite Dental Partners. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during various treatment procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Capture high-quality dental radiographs (x-rays) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide patients with personalized care and attention, ensuring they feel at ease before, during, and after dental treatment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Implement infection control protocols, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Offer patients guidance on oral care and hygiene, as directed by the dentist.
  • Collaborate with the dentist to educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies, including tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts, as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and suppliers, handling scheduling, billing, and ordering supplies as directed by the Office Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Dental Assistant Certificate, where state regulations specify.
  • X-Ray Certification, where state regulations specify.
  • Prior experience with dental management software, with Dentrix being a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Proven commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive chairside care.
  • Ability to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • General office activities as required.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to bend or twist the body.
  • Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods.
