Substitute School Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Substitute School Nurse. As a Substitute School Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the health rooms at 2-3 district schools, supervising unlicensed personnel, and providing healthcare services to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual health care plans for students
- Manage and administer medications and health training
- Assist with required screenings and health assessments
- Provide guidance and supervision to unlicensed personnel
- Participate in large group and staff trainings
- Collaborate with other nurses in the School Health Program
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment
- Experience working in a school health setting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to Wendi Morgan, District Health Coordinator.
