About the Role

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, personal, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans and state/federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure effective care delivery and resident satisfaction.
  • Review and revise assessments and care plans as needed, ensuring timely interventions and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Administer medications and document vital signs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the five rights.
  • Supervise and monitor medications for residents who self-administer, promoting safe and effective medication management.
  • Document all pertinent observations, red flags, incidents, interventions, and communication throughout the shift.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Participate in fall prevention programs and respond to life-saving situations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
  • Review resident service plans for assisted living and memory care, promoting individualized care and support.
  • Encourage residents to participate in scheduled facility activities, promoting socialization and engagement.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current state license for LPN or RN.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
  • CPR and BLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
  • Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office programs, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
