CPU Core RTL Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled CPU Core RTL Engineer to join our team at I Machines, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop hardware microarchitecture specifications and RTL designs for new CPU cores.
  • Collaborate with BE designers and verification engineers to ensure functional and timing convergence.
  • Review test plans and ensure quality in all aspects, including performance, power, area, timing, and functional convergence.
  • Work with architects to meet product requirements and performance targets, correlating performance models and RTL designs.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in out-of-order CPU architecture and microarchitecture.
  • Proficiency in Logic Design, System Verilog, and debugging.
  • Good understanding of overall system-level architecture and bus interface protocols.
  • Ability to solve architectural and timing issues with the right tradeoffs between power, performance, and area.
  • Knowledge in chip bring-up and post-silicon debug.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong CPU microarchitecture knowledge, especially on core microarchitecture, including fetch, branch prediction, renaming, out-of-order execution, load/store units, coherency protocols, and memory subsystems.
