Job Title: Children's Program Supervisor
Location: Laura's House
Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at Laura's House as a Children's Program Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to children while their parents participate in counseling sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare Provision: Supervise and care for children during their parents' counseling sessions, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Safe Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy play area for children, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist with conflict resolution between children, promoting a peaceful and respectful environment.
- Parental Support: Ensure children are fed and wearing clean diapers when parents drop off their children, demonstrating a commitment to their overall care.
- Volunteer Supervision: Supervise volunteers as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document and notify the supervisor regarding any concerns/issues with the children, maintaining accurate records and adhering to reporting requirements.
- Mandated Reporter Duties: Fulfill all Mandated Reporter duties, notifying therapeutic staff and the supervisor if a Child Abuse Report is made.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Confidentiality: Preserve the confidentiality of client, staff, and agency information, except in cases where disclosure is required by law or authorized release.
- Boundaries: Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and other staff, upholding professional standards.
- Representation: Represent the agency in a positive, professional manner at all times, promoting a good reputation.
- Agency Functions: Participate in agency functions as a participant or presenter as needed, contributing to the development and implementation of programs and services.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, answering phone, entering services into the database, and other office-related duties.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree in Child Development or equivalent experience preferred.
- Bilingualism: Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certified.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication: Good oral and written communication skills.
- Prioritization and Multitasking: Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Crisis Intervention: Crisis intervention skills.
- Training: 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training as required by law.
- Computer Proficiency: Computer proficient with email, Word, Excel, and time-keeping software.
Qualifications:
- Driver's License: Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and appropriate insurance.
- Live Scan: Completion of Live Scan.
- Physical Demands: Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
