Position Overview

Off Leash K9 Training, LLC, a leader in the dog training industry, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Dog Trainers in the Spokane / CDA Area.

This role is both challenging and fulfilling, requiring a commitment to building professional relationships and achieving success in dog training.

Essential Qualifications:

- Reside in the Spokane / CDA vicinity.
- Successfully pass a background check.

- Ability to accommodate 1-2 dogs at your home for training periods of up to 14 days.

- While teaching private lesson packages is optional, you will have the chance to engage in these sessions, which can take place in clients' homes or local parks, adhering to travel limitations.

- Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

- A smartphone is required.

- Basic familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) is necessary, as we provide training in video and photo creation.

- Completion of a 21-day New Trainer Certification process is mandatory, with training sessions available in Spokane or at other Off Leash locations.

Daily Responsibilities:

  1. Handling, training, and caring for dogs of various breeds and ages.
  2. Working with dogs requiring behavior modification, from anxiety to aggression (limited for new trainers).
  3. Maintaining daily communication with dog owners regarding their pets' progress.
  4. Interacting with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  5. Driving within the Spokane / CDA area as part of job duties.
  6. Cleaning and maintaining training equipment to ensure a safe environment.
  7. Engaging in ongoing education to enhance training skills for both dogs and their owners, with opportunities to attend classes nationwide.
  8. Participating in local public relations events.
  9. Collaborating with fellow trainers and providing assistance when needed.
  10. Demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.

The ideal candidate will possess:

A strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, and a genuine passion for dogs. Basic computer skills with the ability to create engaging dog training videos are essential. Flexibility to work during peak hours on weekdays and weekends is required. Excellent customer service and communication skills are vital.

After completing the initial training and certification, candidates will have opportunities to work alongside experienced trainers to further develop their skills while also enjoying the independence that comes with growing expertise.

The right individual can expect to earn between $35,000 and $70,000 annually, with the potential for more, all while doing what they love.
